HOW TO ICE THE STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM INTERVIEW
Many of you have asked me what the STIPENGIUM HUNGARICUM interview is like to stand out and be awarded the scholarship, if I want to summarize the interview you basically must answer these two questions:
1.- WHY YOU?
2.- WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT PROGRAM?
If you are able to answer those two questions, you will have a successful interview and I am sure you will be considered for the scholarship.
I leave here a list of general questions that could be asked at the interview and then I will tell you the ones that were asked of me.
1.- Introduce yourself, tell us something about yourself.
2.- How important is engineering in your country today? Why?
3.- What is your greatest strength? Great weakness?
4.- What do you know about our faculty? About our university?
5.- What do you know at the moment about Pécs and its urban environment?
6.- Tell us about your academic goals and objectives.
7.- What do you consider your greatest achievement?
It may be that it is up to you to answer some of the questions that I wrote previously, in my case, literally this is what I was asked for during my interview for the University of Pécs, which lasted about 20 minutes and was conducted by 4 PHDs :
1.- What was your university degree? Where did you study?
I studied Mechatronics Engineering at the Universidad Técnica del Norte in Ecuador.
2.- Why do you want to study Biomedical Engineering?
My goal is to apply engineering in the field of medicine to develop prosthetics and medical devices for health and improve the quality of life of the neediest people in my country.
3.- What was your undergraduate thesis topic?
It was the mechanical design of a prosthetic hand.
4.- What grips can the prosthesis perform?
It can perform three types of grips: pinch, cylindrical, and hook. They are the most used grips in everyday life.
5.- How much weight can the prosthesis hold?
A maximum of 500 gr.
6.- In which program did you design your thesis?
It's called solid works
7.- How did you calculate the force applied to the fingers when the hand holds an object?
It was a static calculation assuming the weight of the object as a constant to form the equations considering the friction force. Finite element analysis was performed to verify that the calculations were correct.
8.- Do you know companies worldwide that are already doing your project commercially?
I-limb / Michelangelo, Ottobock, Steepér, Exiii
9.- Why do you want to study at the University of Pécs?
Mainly, the program they offer and the city, which is quiet and small like the one I used to live in Ecuador.
